The School for Creative Careers
A concept for the new location of the school of creative careers.
An array of north facing skylights along the main axis of the building provides soft natural light for the guitar collection. Within the skylights are lighting fixtures that reproduce the ambient lighting effect at night. The building is surrounded by trees and features floor to ceiling windows. The back of the skylights feature solar panels that will provide for most of the buildings energy needs.
The video and audio production studios are located on the lower level. There are also a series of rooms where students can practice musical instruments without worrying about noise complaints, a common problem for those that grow up in apartment buildings.
