Willow Tree Elementary

The design for the school revolves around a large circular path on the site. At the center of this circle is a Willow tree. The path connects the school with a series of outdoor classrooms located among existing trees on the site.

The roof of the school gently slopes upward from the kindergarten classroom on one end to 8th grade on the other end. As students grow and progress through the school, the ceiling height in the classrooms increases.

The large butterfly roof not only provides shade, but it also collects rainwater into a large tank. The water will be used to water a class garden.
